Favorites collected the points with convincing victories in the 20th round of the Spanish League.
The derby was the match between the reigning champion, Barceloneta, and the fourth-placed team, Terrassa. Despite struggling defensively, Barceloneta secured a 7-goal win – 20:13. Terrassa started strong, holding a 5:3 lead a minute and a half before halftime. However, Barceloneta quickly found its rhythm, launching a 6:0 run that turned the 2-goal deficit into a 9:5 lead. Terrassa managed to narrow the gap to three on two occasions (6:9 and 7:10), but Barceloneta maintained control until the end. Alvaro Granados and Alberto Munarriz each scored four goals for Barceloneta, while Albert Sabadell netted three for Terrassa.
Sabadell ran over Real Canoe in Madrid – 18:3 with four goals from Kanstantin Averka.
Barcelona achieved a 15:11 away victory over Mediterrani. The visitors made a crucial difference in the fourth quarter. Barcelona scored four consecutive goals between the 18th and 22nd minutes, jumping from 6:6 to 10:6. In the middle of the fourth period, Mediterrani halved the distance (11:13), but Barcelona regained a 4-goal advantage by the end. Mart van der Weijden made the difference by scoring four goals.
Mataro was surprised by Caballa. At halftime, Mataro led 7:3. Caballa scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter (8:7). The visitors increased the margin to two in the final eight minutes for a 12:10 win.
The most exciting game was played in Tenerife, where Tenerife hosted Catalunya. The hosts led 6:4 before the final eight minutes. Catalunya managed to catch up with the rival, scoring an equalizer with three seconds left on the clock (7:7). Still, Tenerife was better in a penalty shootout – 11:9.
