The top French team, Marseille, has performed exceptionally well in Europe this season. However, it is certain that the club will not enter the new season with the same squad. As announced earlier, Andrija Prlainovic will be leaving Marseille to join Radnicki.
The management of Marseille is currently searching for a replacement for Prlainovic. Recent reports say that the club is targeting Efstathios Kalogeropoulos, a 23-year-old player from the Greek national team who currently plays for Vouliagmeni.
Kalogeropoulos was a part of the golden generation of Greek water polo that won gold medals at the World U18 Championships in 2018 and at the World U20 Championships in the following year.
Playing for the senior national team, Kalogeropoulos has won silvers in the 2025 World Cup and at the 2023 World Championships, bronze medals at the 2022 World Championships and in the World League a year before
