Andro Buslje, the record-holder for the most medals at the World Championships with seven, returned to his hometown to join Jug Dubrovnik in the upcoming season. In the last four seasons, Buslje played for Olympiacos.
Throughout his long career, Buslje, now 39, has played for Jug Dubrovnik (2004 – 2015), Posillipo (2015/16), Olympiacos (2016 – 2019), Pro Recco (2019/20), Mladost (2020/21), and once again for Olympiacos (2021 – 2025).
Representing Croatia, Buslje won seven medals at the World Championships over seven consecutive tournaments from 2007 to 2019, which includes two gold medals, one silver, and four bronze medals. He also secured the Olympic title in 2012 and won a silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games, along with 13 medals in other major tournaments, including a European gold in 2010. He retired from the national team after the Tokyo Olympics, after serving as Croatia's captain for several years.
Buslje has lifted two Champions League trophies: one with Jug in 2006 and another with Olympiacos in 2018. He has also won numerous national titles and cups in Croatia and Greece.Â
Regarding departures from Jug, Rino Buric joined Pro Recco, while Sergi Cabanas will return to Sabadell.Â
