Next week, the Croatian national team will travel to Hong Kong for the final phase of the preparations for the World Championships in Singapore.
Today, head coach Ivica Tucak announced the names of 15 players who will represent Croatia at the tournament in Singapore.
Compared to the team that won the Olympic silver, two players are missing – veteran Maro Jokovic (he returned to the national team only for the Paris Olympics) and Jadran’s captain Jerko Marinic Kragic (who has undergone surgery).
Tin Brubnjak (Primorje) will make his World Championships debut.
The team is very similar to the one that won gold at the World Championships in Doha last year. Only Brubnjak, goalkeeper Toni Popadic, and Luka Bukic didn’t participate in winning the world title last year. Popadic and Bukic missed the 2024 Worlds due to surgeries.
In total, twelve players will arrive in Singapore to defend their title won last year.
