Posillipo and De Akker, the teams that played in the Conference Cup, met earlier this week in Naples. De Akker opened the match excellently, taking a 4:0 lead in the first quarter. However, the Bolognese didn’t keep their momentum. The Naples-based side dominated in the middle two periods to enter the final quarter with a slim 10:9 advantage. De Akker scored the first two goals in the fourth period, but Posillipo responded with two to regain the lead (12:11). Three minutes before the end, De Akker leveled the score, but Posillipo took three points. Vincenzo Renzuro Iodice, the best scorer of the match, converted a man-up with a minute and a half to go to add the fifth goal to his tally and secure a 13:12 win for Posillipo.
Savona earned a 16:10 away victory over Salerno. Veteran Pietro Figlioli made the difference, scoring six goals.
