The highlight of the Regional League 6th round was the Croatian derby. Jadran Split hosted Mladost Zagreb. Titleholder Mladost didn’t make a mistake. The champions recorded a 13:9 win and continued their winning streak.
The most interesting the match was an encounter between Sabac and Mornar which ended in a tie.

The derby match between Jadran Split and Mladost was a balanced battle for almost two quarters. Jadran kept up with the favourites for a while. Two and a half minutes before the middle break the score was 5:5. At halftime, Mladost had a minimal 7:6 lead, but the visitors opened the third quarter with a 4:0 rush and they jumped to a 11:6 advantage, which was crucial. Led by Luka Bukic (5 goals), Mladost posted a 13:9 win.
Jug easily defeated Partizan in Belgrade – 18:6, despite the visitors from Dubrovnik played without Paolo Obradovic, who rested today, after excellent performances in matches against Barceloneta and Jadran Split.
Jadran Herceg Novi beat Budva in the Montenegrin derby. Budva grabbed an early 2:1 lead, but Jadran responded with 7:0 series and earned an 8:2 advantage by the end of the second quarter. Jadran maintained a 6-goal advantage until the end (12:6).
Crvena Zvezda recorded the second consecutive away win in Montenegro. On Wednesday, Crvena Zvezda defeated Budva (13:11), while the Belgrade-based side faced Primorac today. Deep into the first period, the rivals were tied at 2:2. Then the visitors produced a 5:1 rush, they gained a 7:3 lead in the 15th minute. After that, Primorac could do nothing more than to reduce the gap to 2. In the end, the Serbs recorded an 11:9 victory.
There were a lot of thrills in Sabac, where Sabac hosted Mornar Split. Though Sabac had a 6-goal lead in the finish of the third quarter, Mornar secured a point. The visitors were trailing 6:12 in the last minute of the third quarter. They managed to score their 7th goal by the end of the period (7:12), while they kept Sabac goalless in the last period. Mornar netted five goals in the fourth quarter and took a point. An equaliser for 12:12 was scored by Slavko Calic just 10 seconds before the end.
