The fourth day of the women’s tournament at the Europeans has started in the same manner as the previous three.
Favorites have no problems in beating their rivals in the first three matches of the fourth round.
Russia has recorded the biggest win at the tournament so far. The Russians blew away Croatia 34:1 (Group A)
The Netherlands also conceded just one goal, in an 18:1 victory over France in Group B. In the same group, runner-up at the 2019 World Championships Spain trashed Germany 19:4 On Day 5, the Spaniards and the Dutch will clash in the match that will decide the group-winner.

After beating Slovakia 31:2 on Day 1, Russia scored more than 30 goals again. The Russians were very close to the Dutch’s scoring record. At the first tournament, in Oslo 1985, the Netherlands beat Sweden 37:1., which remains the biggest win in the history of the women’s European Championships.
Still, the result against Croatia is the Russians’ biggest winning margin at the Europeans in history. The previous record was a 35:4 victory over Turkey in Barcelona 2018.

Spain had a slow start in the 4:2 first quarter and dominated in the next three periods. Spain earned a 10-goal advantage(13:3) deep into the third quarter. The Spaniards even were 19:3 up, and let Germany score a consolation goal.

The titleholder scored an opening goal in the game, France equalized in the third minute (1:1) and that was the last time that the French found the back of the net.

Before the match that will decide the first place (against Spain), the Netherlands has a better goal difference than Spain, so the Dutch need a point to retain 1st position.
