Most of the favorites beat their respective rivals with ease in the 13th round of the Spanish League. The most thrilling game of the day was an encounter between Real Canoe and Mediterrani, played in Madrid. Real recorded a narrow 8:7 win.

Last week, Barceloneta lost the points for the first time this season (the champion played 7:7 against Mediterrani). The title-holder got back on the winning track with a victory over Sabadell. After a 3:2 first quarter, Barceloneta held Sabadell goalless in the second quarter, while it netted four goals for a 7:2 lead, and that proved vital for their victory. Three members of the national team od Spain – Granados, Munarriz- scored two goals each for the winning team, but Barceloneta’s goalkeeper Miquel Linares was voted the MVP of the match.
Mediterrani upset Barceloneta last week, but it didn’t continue a series of good results. Real Canoe edged out Mediterrani after a hard-fought battle in Madrid. After a lot of twists and turns, the sides were tied before the fourth quarter (6:6). Marc Roca gave Mediterrani a 7:6 lead in the 3rd minute of the final period. But, the visitors couldn’t find the net in the remaining time, while Real secured the victory with two goals in the middle of the quarter – 8:7.
Barcelona, Terrassa and Mataro had no problems in beating their respective rivals.
