Brescia has been the most active Italian club during this summerβs transfer window. Several excellent players arrived in the second-best Italian club: Maro Jokovic (Olympiacos), Vincenzo Dolce (Sport Management), Edoardo Di Somma (Pro Recco), Angelos Vlachopoulos (Eger), Djordje Lazic (Szolnok), Nicollo Gitto (Metanopoli Milan). Last week, the clubβs president Andrea Malchiodi said that the transfer market was closed for Brescia. However, it seems that Bresciaβs doors still havenβt been closed for new players.
Italian media writes that Brescia is willing to bring world champion Vincenzo Renzuto Iodice, who left Pro Recco.
Waterpoloitaly published that Brescia negotiated with Renzuto a month and a half ago, but the deal wasnβt made. However, the talks have been renewed in the last few days and Renzuto is near to moving to Brescia.
None of the sides hasnβt confirmed, but also hasnβt denied that Renzuto could join Brescia.
“We haven’t reached an agreement yet,” Brescia president Andrea Malchiodi told, Waterpoloitaly published.
Renzuto (27), started playing water polo in Posillipo, and in 2017 he joined Jug Dubrovnik. After a season in Croatia, he returned to Italy and played for Pro Recco from 2018 to 2020. Renzuto was ready to join a non-Italian club again, but as things stand now he will play in Serie A next season.
At the moment, he is the only member of the Italian national team who has no club.
