The Men’s Olympic Games Qualification Tournament in Rotterdam hasn’t started yet, but one team has already finished its participation.
Turkey has been disqualified due to too many coronavirus cases in the delegation.
According to the regulations, a team will be disqualified if three or more members of a delegation (including players and staff) test positive for COVID-19.
All participants of the tournament have been tested several times daily since Friday. FINA wants to avoid any mistakes in testing results.
Four players of Turkey have tested positive for coronavirus this morning, and the team has been disqualified.
Turkey was drawn into group A, and it was supposed to play with Montenegro today (17:30). Of course, that game has been canceled and all other matches of the Turkish team.
The new composition of the groups
Group A: Greece, Montenegro, Brazil, Canada, Georgia.
Group B: Croatia, Germany, Russia, Romania, Netherlands, France.
