A low-scoring derby Barcelona – Sabadell was the highlight of the Spanish League 14th round.
Barcelona recorded a narrow 6:5 win. An encounter between Sant Andreu and Terrassa also didn’t lack excitement. Terrassa collected all three points with an 8:7 victory.
Barceloneta easily beat Mediterrani.

After the first quarter of the encounter between Barcelona and Sabadell, it seemed that it would be a high-scoring game. Barcelona had a 4:2 lead at the first break, but the defenses dominated in the next three quarters. Before the end of the second period, Sabadell halved the distance – 3:4. The second half was an exchange of goals. Early in the third period, Adria Delgado gave Barcelona a 5:3 lead. Just four seconds before the middle break, Gonzalo Escribano found the net for 4:5. The fourth period started in the same way as the third. In the 27th minute, Lukas Duric netted an action goal for 6:4. Gonzalo Lopez-Escribano cut the deficit in the 31st minute (5:6), but Barcelona kept a slim advantage until the end.
Terrassa was the favorite in the game against Sant Andreu, but it didn’t secure the win until the last buzzer. The first quarter belonged to Terrassa (4:3). Sant Andreu equalized in the 9th minute (4:4). After that, the hosts couldn’t find the net for 15 minutes. Terrassa built a 6:4 lead by the middle break and added a goal in the 17th minute for 7:4. Still, Sant Andreu started climbing back and managed to catch up with the rival in the middle of the final quarter (7:7). Victor Gutierrez put Terrassa in front – 8:7 with 03:13 minutes remaining on the clock. Both teams had chances in the last three minutes, but there were no goals.
Barceloneta cruised to a win over the last-placed Mediterrani.
