Teams ranked 1st-6th in the Hungarian League didn’t let their respective opponents surprise them in the 15th round.
Favorites – OSC, Ferencvaros, Szolnok, Vasas, BVSC, and Honved collected the points with convincing wins.
Debrecen recorded its first win in the season after it narrowly defeated Kaposvar.

On Wednesday, OSC lost to Spandau in the Champions League match with a technical score (0:10), due to a number of positive coronavirus tests at the team before the match. OSC traveled to Szentes today. A few key players were missing (Toth, Vigvari, Harai), but the Budapest-based side recorded a win. Szentes didn’t surrender easily. OSC built a 4-goal lead early in the fourth period (7:3) and maintained the difference until the end.
Ferencvaros opened the match against PVSK Pecs with a 7:0 blast. Already in the 14th minute, ten goals separated the rivals (11:1). After the middle break, the favorites’ defense got weakened, but they recorded a big 23:7 victory. Denes Varga was on the team, but he didn’t score a goal for Ferencvaros.
Szolnok recorded a 16-goal win as well as Ferencvaros, beating Szeged. The reigning champion dominated and didn’t slow down until the end. Three minutes before the end, Szolnok had a 17:5 advantage. The hosts scored four goals in the last 02:45 minutes for a 21:5 victory.
Honved earned a convincing away win over UVSE. Honved led for most of the time, but UVSE kept with the favorite until the middle break (3:5). Honved produced a 6:0 run in the second half to go to 11:6 and secure three points.
BVSC secured a 5-goal win over Miskolc in the third and fourth periods.
Vasas started slowly, but it found its rhythm in time and beat Eger 15:8.
There were a lot of twists and turns in an encounter between Debrecen and Kaposvar. Kaposvar opened the match well. The visitors dictated the pace in the first half and had a 3-goal lead (6:3). Only seven seconds before the middle break, Debrecen went in front for the first time (9:8). After that, Kaposvar equalized three times (9:9, 12:12, 13:13). Fulop closed the contest with a winner (14:13) with 63 seconds to go.
