Several interesting games have been played in the leagues of Serbia and Montenegro in the past few days.
Jadran Herceg Novi defeated Primorac in the big Montenegrin derby.
Radnicki continued its series of wins beating Crvena Zvezda although it was five goals down after the first quarter.

The third round of the Montenegrin Championship brought a new derby between the archrivals – Primorac and Jadran. It was their sixth encounter this season and the first in a recently renovated indoor pool in Kotor. But, the hosts didn’t celebrate. Jadran recorded an 8:6 victory and beat Primorac for the fourth time this season (Primorac defeated Jadran in the Montenegrin Cup final and the qualifications of the same competition).
Primorac had a 4:2 lead in the 14th minute. But, Jadran produced a 3:0 series and earned a 5:4 advantage (20th minute). Still, Gopcevic leveled at 5:5 in the 22nd minute. It was the last goal in the third period.
Jadran dominated the final quarter and secured the win with a new 3:0 run. Captain Marko Petkovic converted a man-up for 6:5. In the 29th minute, Danilo Radovic scored two goals within 45 seconds (one with an extra player and one from a penalty). The visitors went to 8:5 and Primorac couldn’t come back. Gopcevic scored a consolation goal in the last minute of the match.
Jadran’s Danilo Radovic was the best scorer (four goals). Marko Petkovic (Jadran), Marko Gopcevic and Dusan Matkovic (both Primorac) scored two goals each.
The other match of the third round was exciting too. Budva collected the first three points with a 7:6 victory over Cattaro. Before the fourth quarter, Budva led 6:3. In the 25th minute, Vukicevic stretched the margin to four – 7:3. But, Cattaro didn’t give up. Still, the hosts didn’t equalize. They cut the deficit to one goal twice – 6:7 (28th minute) and 7:8. But , the seventh goal came too late – just 23 seconds before the final buzzer.
The fourth round will be played on February 7.

The Serbian League has continued with the rescheduled matches of the 1st round of the Playoffs group.
One of these games was a derby in Kragujevac.
Radnicki and Crvena Zvezda met for the fourth time this season. Radnicki was better in the previous three encounters. But, after the first quarter of the fourth duel, it seemed that Crvena Zvezda might break the series of losses to Radnicki. The visitors opened the match with a 4:0 lead. At the first break, they had a 6:1 advantage. Then, Radnicki “woke up”. At halftime, the Serbian champion trailed 6:7. In the 23rd minute, the hosts went in front for the first time – 9:8. Still, Crvena Zvezda’s Radovic closed the third quarter.
The rivals were tied at 9:9 after the third period. In the 26th minute, Nikola Lukic gave Radnicki a new lead (10:9), but Crvena Zvezda responded– Basara for 10:10. In the middle of the quarter, Radnicki earned a 2-goal lead for the first time (12:10). The home team didn’t let Crvena Zvezda equalize. Moreover, it stretched the margin to three.

Nikola Lukic led Radnicki with five goals. Aleksa Ukropina added four. Marko Radovic scored four for Crvena Zvezda.
Novi Beograd had an easy task against Vojvodina. Strahinja Rasovic, who netted four goals, was the best scorer in Novi Beograd’s 22:7 victory. His teammates Nikola Jaksic and Drasko Gogov found the net three times each. Nikola Bogdanovic netted four for Vojvodina.
