Szolnok defeated Honved 10:7 in the derby of the Hungarian League 20th round.
But the most exciting match of the day was an encounter between 12th-placed Miskolc and Ferencvaros, the only unbeaten team. Ferencvaros recorded a narrow 11:10 victory in a surprisingly thrilling contest.

The derby Honved – Szolnok was decided in the second half. Szolnok earned a 2-goal lead twice in the first quarter (2:0 and 4:2). In the middle of the second period, Honved went in front for the first time (6:5). But, Szolnok replied with three goals in a row. The visitors equalized before the middle break (6:6). They continued their series in the third quarter to go to 8:6 up. Honved’s Hessels found the net a second before the last break for 7:8. However, Szolnok scored two unanswered goals in the final eight minutes for a solid 10:7 victory.
Ferencvaros arrived in Miskolc without Denes Varga, but few expected that Miskolc will make trouble to the runner-up in the 2021 Champions League. The visitors were the favorites, but Miskolc earned a 1:0 and 2:1 lead. Then, Ferencvaros took control. It scored four goals in a row to build a 5:2 lead midway through the second quarter. Still, Miskolc didn’t surrender. Before the final period, two goals separated the rivals (7:5).
The fourth quarter produced a tremendous battle. Miskolc halved the deficit shortly after the last break (6:7). Ferencvaros responded with two goals in 43 seconds (Marton Vamos and Nemanja Ubovic) and rebuilt a 3-goal lead (9:6). Miskolc cut the deficit to one (9:10) with 03:47 minutes left on the clock. That was followed by a quick exchange of goals. Vendel Vigvari gave the visitors an 11:9 lead. Zsombor Vismeg made it 10:11 two and a half minutes before the final buzzer. Everything was open until the very end, but there were no goals in the remaining time.
OSC secured an 8:2 advantage after less than 13 minutes of the match against PVSK Pecs. That proved vital for their win. PVSK tried to come back, but OSC controlled the match and recorded a 16:11victory.
UVSE kept up with Vasas for two quarters. Vasas had a 5:4 lead at halftime. The third period belonged to Vasas (4:1). In the fourth quarter, Vasas blew UVSE away (8:0).
BVSC beat Eger easier than expected.
Szeged beat Kaposvar 10:8 and earned valuable points to climb to 7th place in the standings.
The match Debrecen – Szentes was an even contest until the end of the third quarter. Debrecen scored three goals in the first four minutes of the final quarter, jumped to 11:7, and secured the points.
