The Spanish Division de Honor is coming a to a close in the coming weeks and it looks like Sabadell will once again be Spanish Champions. All that their closest title rival can do is win their remaining games, and that is exactly what Mataro did against Boadilla (16-7) – with four of Dani Ballart’s side netting hat-tricks (Isabel Piralkova, Cristina Nogue, Marta Bach and Bella Markoch). Even with a weakened side (no Timofeeva, Sevenich or Van de Kraats), Mataro had no problems.
Meanwhile, Zaragoza continue to look like the best team outside of Catalonia as they beat Feliu in a tight affair. Julia Tazueco netted four times for the side from Aragon. Zaragoza initially trailed by 4-1 in the first period, but fought back valiantly to secure their second successive victory on the road.
And finally, in a sad day for Concepcion, they are finally put out of their misery as they are relegated from the Division de Honor. It was the newly promoted Barceloneta who consigned them to the second tier of Spanish Polo. Carla Buscarons netted a quad, as did Serbia international Nada Mandic.
