The latest case concerning Pro Recco’s match against Posillipo in the Italian A1 League has been resolved. On the 20th of October, the match was postponed due to organizational problems.
Sports judges Claudio Mazzoni and Andrea Pascerini resolved the situation by giving the score of 5:0 for Posillipo. Additionally, the judges fined Pro Recco with 1000 euros.
There’s also the longer version of the verdict which includes the following:
- The platform was closed until 15:00.
- Pro Recco didn’t make the pool accessible after it has been used for an aquagym session.
- The lights, including the timer, haven’t been set up.
An important note is that Pro Recco proposed to use an alternative location, but only after the “end of the meeting” at 15:48, which didn’t help them in the court process. Ultimately, it took 32 matches to stop Pro Recco’s winning streak. The last one they lost before this was back on May 6 in 2017.
