There were no surprises in the last round of the first stage of the Serbian League.
Radnicki, Novi Beograd, Crvena Zvezda, Sabac, and Valis recorded wins in the 9th round.
The league continues in February, and the teams will be split into two groups. Radnicki, Novi Beograd, Partizan, Crvena Zvezda, Sabac and Valis will play in the playoffs group, while NBG Vukovi, Nais, Proleter and Vojvodina are in the relegation group.
The second phase will be a single round-robin league. The results from the mutual encounters in the first phase will be carried to the second stage.

Radnicki finished the first stage unbeaten, with 25 points (eight wins and one draw). The Kragujevac-based side visited Novi Sad and convincingly beat Vojvodina. Everything was decided in the first half. Radnicki opened the game with a 6:0 blast. At halftime, it stood 10:2, while Radnicki went to 11:2 at the beginning of the third. In the second half of the game, Radnicki’s key players were mainly on the bench. Head coach Stevanovic wanted to rest them before an important Champions League game against Barceloneta on Tuesday.
The derby of the round was a clash between 3rd-placed Partizan and 2nd-placed Novi Beograd. Still, Novi Beograd was the favorite and left no room for a surprise. The title holder is still without injured Strahinja Rasovic. Captain Dusan Mandic and Alvaro Granados netted three goals each to lead Novi Beograd to a 14:7 win.
Crvena Zvezda confirmed 4th place with a 17:9 victory over NBG Vukovi.
After achieving big success and making the LEN Euro Cup quarterfinals, Sabac delighted its fans with a convincing 22:9 win over Nais.
Valis secured 6th place and a spot in the playoffs group with a 15:13 victory over Proleter. The Valjevo-based side earned a four-goal advantage in the first half (10:6). Proleter put a lot of effort into a comeback, but it just managed to half the distance.
