Sabadell and Barceloneta are on an excellent way to make the final of the Spanish League.
Both teams achieved comfortable victories in the semifinals of the playoffs. Sabadell continued its winning streak in the domestic championships, beating Terrassa 12:6. Barceloneta was too strong for Barcelona in the first game of the semifinals – 17:8.

Barceloneta quickly earned a big advantage in the duel with Barcelona. The reigning champion, playing excellently in defense, opened the match with a 3:0 lead. In the middle of the second period, the distance grew to four goals (7:3). All that Barcelona was able to do in the remaining time was to cut the deficit to three a few times. Early in the fourth period, the visitors trailed 5:8. In the following minutes, Barceloneta produced a 4:0 run, jumped to 12:5 before the final break and sealed the vicory.
“Only” six goals separated the rivals in the encounter between Barcelona and Terrassa, but the match was very similar to the clash between Barceloneta and Barcelona. The favorite secured a significant advantage in time. Terrassa, the runner-up in the LEN Challenger Cup, leveled the score just once (1:1), and was a step behind Sabadell at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Sabadell broke the rival’s resistance in the same way as Barceloneta did – with a 4:0 run. The home side held Terrassa goalless for more than 13 minutes, went to 7:2 and Terrassa couldn’t come back.
