The Division 2 of the Women’s World Cup in Berlin has concluded, with two teams emerging as the successful qualifiers for the World Cup Finals.
As anticipated, New Zealand and Israel secured their places in the finals in Long Beach, each completing unbeaten runs in the German capital. In the games that really mattered on the final day of the competition, both teams delivered dominant performances; New Zealand triumphed over their Southern Hemisphere counterparts, South Africa, with a resounding 16-3 win, while Israel was merciless against Kazakhstan, securing a comprehensive 19-8 victory.
The host team, Germany, claimed a respectable 5th place finish in front of their home supporters, thanks to a final-day triumph against Uzbekistan (15-8);Great Britain found their stride on the final day against Ukraine, securing a 10-4 victory to claim 7th place in the tournament.
