Luca Marziali, the center-forward of the Italian national team, returns to the homeland after one season spent at Spandau Berlin.
Marziali (32) signed a three-year contract with Trieste, the club announced today. Trieste finished 5th in the Italian League and will play in the LEN Euro Cup for the second season in a row. This season, Trieste played in the semifinals.
He debuted for the Italian national team last year and won silver at the World Championships and gold in the last edition of the World League.
Before moving to Spandau, Marziali played for Sori, Nervi, Bogliasco, then two Naples-based teams, Acquachiara and Posillipo. He moved from Posillipo to Telimar where he played for two years (2020-22).
