Strahinja Rasovic officially left Novi Beograd, along with his brother Viktor.
It was known for a while that he would be a free agent after the Final Eight. A few clubs contacted Strahinja Rasovic. In the end, he accepted an offer by Vasas, the Serbian website Sport Klub reported. His transfer to Vasas was among the most interesting topics in the rumors about the transfers.
Vasas, the LEN Euro Cup winner, won’t play in the Champions League qualifications, but it will have a respectable team that will battle for the trophies in Hungary and the LEN Euro Cup.
The elder of the Rasovic brothers already played in Hungary. Between 2017 and 2020, he was a member of Eger. Before that, he played for Beograd, Crvena Zvezda, and Barceloneta. Strahinja returned to Serbia in 2020, and after one season spent at Radnicki, he joined Novi Beograd.
His biggest success at the club level was the title of the European champion with Crvena Zvezda in 2014. Since 2021, he has been a regular national team member and won Olympic gold in Tokyo, and medals in the World League, World Cup and Mediterranean Games.
