Trieste found a replacement for Yusuke Inaba, who moved to Ortigia.
The team for northern Italy signed a one-year contract with Marin Dasic, a Croat who arrived from French Tourcoing.
The 25-year-old attacker started his career at Mladost Zagreb. In 2016, he moved to the USA to study at the University od Southern California and to play for the college team USC Trojans. Dasic returned to the homeland and Mladost in 2019 and played for the Zagreb-based club until 2022.
Playing for Mladost, he won two Croatian Cup, the Croatian League and silver medal in the LEN Euro Cup (in 2014).
Last season, he was one of the best scorers of Tourcoing.
Dasic will be welcomed by his compatriots, Ivan Buljubasic, a former Olympic champion and a member of the Croatian national team, and Mislav Vrlic, who will both stay at Trieste.
