Olympiacos has confirmed its first addition to the men’s team this summer.
An outfield player Ioannis Alafragkis moved from Vouliagmeni to Olympiacos.
The 26-year-old player started his career at Palaio Faliro, and in 2020, he moved to Vouliagmeni. He won 4th place at the Champions League Final Eight in Belgrade a month and a half ago. He won the titles of the world and European champions (in 2018 and 2019) with the youth national team of Greece.
He has been a member of the senior national team since 2021 and will represent Greece at the World Championships in Fukuoka.
Besides Alafragkis, Dimitrios Nikolaidis will move from Vouliagmeni to Olympiacos. However, an official confirmation is still missing. Luka Loncar, who left Pro Recco, is on his way to Olympiacos. Nikolaidis and Loncar will replace center-forwards Konstantinos Mourikis (left to Panionios) and Christodoulos Kolomvos (ENKA, Istanbul). Besides the two, FIlip FIlipovic and Achilleas Grammatikos departed from Olympiacos - Filipovic to Novi Beograd and Grammatikos to Panionios, along with Mourikis.
The club will be coached by Hrvoje Koljanin.
