Olympiacos continued presenting additions to the team.
The Greek champion recently introduced Ioannis Alafragkis, who transferred from Vouliagmeni.
Today, the club confirmed another big transfer. One of the best young center-forwards in Europe, Dimitrios Nikolaidis, arrived at Olympiacos from Vouliagmeni, like Alafragkis.
This transfer had been agreed upon for some time, but there was no confirmation until today. Nikolaidis is currently in Japan, at the World Championships in Fukuoka.
Nikolaidis (24) returns to Olympiacos after four years. He began his career at PAOK. Nikolaidis joined Olympiacos in 2017, where he won the 2019 Champions League, two Greek championships, and one national Cup. Between 2019 and 2021, he played for Brescia and then spent a season at Spandau in Germany before returning to Greece and joining Vouliagmeni in 2022 .
Last season, Vouliagmeni finished 2nd in the Greek League and won 4th place in the Champions League.
Nikolaidis had success playing for Greece's youth and junior national teams, winning two world championships and one gold at the European Championships.
