Nikola Jaksic, the captain of the Serbian national team, will continue to play for Novi Beograd next season, despite being placed on the transfer list this summer.
Slobodan Soro, the club director, told the Serbian website Sport Klub that Jaksic would join the team at the start of the preparations for the upcoming season.
In June, Jaksic was informed that he would no longer be part of the team and that he could move to a club that would pay a compensation of 150,000 eurosย since Jaksic has a contract with Novi Beograd.
Meanwhile, Jaksic was one of the key players in the Serbian national team that secured a fourth-place finish at the World Championship in Fukuoka.
