BVSC Budapest, one of the Hungarian clubs that will enter the European stage next season, confirmed its additions for the following season.
Three newcomers signed contracts with the club that finished 5th in the 2023 Hungarian League.
Two players arrived from OSC Budapest – an experienced defender, Erik Bundschuh (34), and Erik Csacsovszky (26).
Bundschuh, who was born in Slovakia, started playing water polo in Kosice. After moving to Hungary, he joined Eger, where he spent ten seasons (until 2014). Playing for Eger, he won three Hungarian championships and became a member of the Hungarian national team. Between 2014 and 2023, Bundschuh wore the cap of OSC.
Csacsovszky was a member of OSC for three seasons (2020 – 2023). Before arriving in the capital, he played for Eger, like Bundschuh. He played for the junior and youth national teams. Last year, he competed for Hungary in the World League.
The third reinforcement is a 24-year-old Akos Horvath, who came from Kaposvar.
Several players departed from the club: Benedek Batizi (Vasas), Bence Szabo (Ferencvaros), Kristof Sziladi (Szeged), Balint Meszaros, and Marton Nagy.
BVSC will play in the LEN Euro Cup and will be the host of one of the qualification tournaments (September 22 - 24).
