A few confirmations about transfers in the best European clubs have come.
Jadran Herceg Novi added two Russians to the team. The rumor about their arrival appeared a long time ago. Sources from the club confirmed that two Russians joined the club.
Dmitri Kholod (31), one of the key players and the best scorers of Spandau Berlin in the past few years, will wear Jadran’s cap.
Left-handed Ivan Nagaev (29), who won the LEN Euro Cup with Vasas in the previous season, joined the Montenegrin champion, too.
Kholod and Nagaev were teammates in Dinamo Moscow. Both left the club from the capital of Russia in 2019 and went to Germany. Kholod played for Spandau from 2019 until this summer. Nagaev was at Waspo Hannover between 2019 and 2022 before moving to Vasas.
Nagaev and Kholod represented Russia at the European Championships.
They haven't joined the team yet. The Russian tandem will come to Herceg Novi after they end the summer league in Malta.
Defender Bojan Banicevic (30) returned to Jadran. In the season 2022/23, Banicevic won the Serbian Cup and the silver medal in the Serbian Championships, playing for Crvena Zvezda. He left Jadran in 2018 and after that played for Miskolc (Hungary), Tourcoing (France) and Crvena Zvezda.
Only one player departed from the club. As we already published, Djuro Radovic will continue his career in Jadran but not in Herceg Novi. He moved to Jadran Split. Radovic was Olympiacos’ player, but in the second half of the 2022/23 season, he was on loan in Jadran HN.
Jadran earned the Champions League wild card by winning the title in the Montenegrin League and will play in the group stage without qualifications. The Herceg Novi-based side’s rivals in the group are Ferencvaros, Jadran Split and a club that will come from the qualifications.
