Japanese international Taiyo Watanabe headlines Pays d'Aix's summer foreign transfer business.
The 22-year-old, an influential member of the Japanese national team has signed a two year contract, following in the footsteps of compatriots Mitsuaki Shiga and Tomoyoshi Fukushima in becoming the clubs third aquisition from the Orient.
Twenty-eight year old Spaniard Javier Gorria Puga and Greek utility player Aklis Lorantos also signs for PAN. Javier Puga joins from Ortigia, having played for Sant Andreu, Sabadell and Mediterrani whilst developing in his homeland. Aklis Lorantos arrives in France with a noticeable name, with his father Theo recently taking up the post of head coach of the women's national team.
Pays d'Aix finished fifth last season in the French League. They begin the 2023/2024 season at home to EN Tourcoing this weekend.
