The USA Water Polo Hall of Fame has announced the 2018 induction class. The five inductees will be recognized on Friday, June 8 at Hotel Irvine in Irvine, California.
With a tradition of over 40 years of recognizing talent and hard work, Hall of Fame will welcome five new people this year. These five inductees include three legendary athletes and two game-changing coaches.
The inductees are:
- Brenda Villa — four-time Olympic medalist and FINA Player of the Decade (2010)
- Heather Petri — four-time Olympic medalist and three-time FINA World Champion
- Chris Humbert — three-time Olympian and two-time FINA World Cup winner
- Scott Hinman — a veteran and water polo coach in Irvine
- Guy Baker — former UCLA water polo head coach And Women’s National Team Head Coach & Program Director

The Hall of Fame tradition first came around in 1976 and, since then, have been inducting devoted players and coaches. You can see the entire Hall of Fame list here.
