The top news of Day 9 of the Greek League is Apollon’s first loss.

The team that achieved eight wins in its first eight matches in the season left Thessaloniki empty-handed. PAOK edged out Apollon (11:10) in a game with many twists and turns.

After the 9th round, Olympiacos and Vouliagmeni remain unbeaten. Olympiacos is atop Group A, while Vouliagmeni leads the race in Group B, ahead of Apollon. However, this season, Vouliagmeni and Apollon haven’t faced each other yet.
