A replay of the LEN Euro Cup semifinals was the big match of the 19th day of the Spanish League. Sabadell and Barcelona faced off in Sabadell.
The game was very similar to the matches in the LEN Euro Cup semis. Both teams had ups and downs. But, Barcelona emerged as a winner this time. To remind, Sabadell recorded a win in the aggregate score in the LEN Euro Cup semifinals and advanced to the final where it will play against Telimar.

Sabadell, playing very well in defense, dominated the first half of the derby and entered the third period leading 4:1. After less than 30 seconds in the third quarter, it stood 5:1. Then Barcelona started coming back. The visitors, led by Adria Delgado, produced a 7:2 run in six minutes and built an 8:7 advantage before the final period. Sabadell equalized early in the fourth quarter (8:8), but Barcelona replied with three goals in a row and went to 11:8 (30th minute). The home team couldn’t catch up with the rival in the remaining time.
The match in Sabadell was Barcelona’s second consecutive away win, after an 11:9 over Mataro earlier this week. Barcelona climbed to 2nd place in the standings, with one point more, and one match played less than 3rd-placed Sabadell.
The other four matches didn’t offer a lot of excitement.
Terrassa defeated Rubi in a 25-goal match. Terrassa started well and earned a 4:1 lead. Still, Rubi was able to equalize (5:5). However, Terrassa built a 5-goal lead late into the third quarter (12:7) and kept the distance until the end (15:10).
Mataro, Mediterrani and Catalunya recorded comfortable victories.
