The playoffs in the Spanish League have just started, and Barceloneta has already qualified for the final.
The reigning champion beat Terrassa twice (14:7 and 9:6) in three days in the semifinals and continued its march towards a new title.
Barcelona and Sabadell will face off in the other semifinal pair. These matches have been postponed for the next week because Sabadell will play against Telimar in the 2nd leg of the LEN Euro Cup final today.

The first match of the semifinals was decided in the second half. Barcelona gained a 5:2 lead in the second quarter. Terrassa equalized by halftime (5:5) and early in the third quarter (6:6). But, the hosts responded with six straight goals. Barceloneta jumped to a 12:6 lead and the home team’s win wasn’t in danger.
Yesterday evening, Terrassa hosted Barceloneta. After a balanced first period (1:1), Barceloneta produced a 3:0 run and earned a 4:1 lead in the 17th minute. Terrassa didn’t give up, but the visitors kept the distance until the end.
