The 9th round of the national championship was played in Spain this weekend. The visiting teams recorded wins in all five games.
The derby was an encounter between Barceloneta and Barcelona, but there were no big thrills in this game, as Barceloneta recorded a convincing 12:5 victory.

Barcelona scored the first goal in the derby. It happened in the 2nd minute. However, Barceloneta took control soon after that. The reigning champion earned a big lead quickly. By halftime, Barceloneta went 7:2 up and killed all excitements. Three minutes after the middle break, the visitors earned a 6-goal lead (9:3) and it was clear that there was no way back for Barcelona.
A last gasp goal decided a thriller in Pamplona. Navara hosted Real Canoe. After the third period, the score was 3:3. Real built a 2-goal lead early in the fourth (5:3). Navarra managed to equalise 11 seconds before the end (5:5), but the drama wasn’t over yet. Real’s Victor Camarena beat the buzzer and he scored a winner in the last second for the visitors’ 6:5 victory.
Sabadell cruised to a win over Sant Andreu. Before the 4th period, Sabadell was leading 13:4 and let Sant Andreu reduce the gap in the last eight minutes.
Mataro had a slow start in the match against Catalunya. After the 1st quarter, Mataro had a minimal advantage 2:1, but the visitors dominated in the following minutes. Deep into the third period, Mataro earned a 6-goal lead (8:2) and maintained the difference until the end.
Tenerife is still waiting for its first point. In the 9th round, Tenerife played against Mediterrani and was in neck-and-neck race with the visitors for quarter and a half. In the middle of the second period, the score was 3:3. After that, Mediterrani produced a 4:0 rush and jumped to a 7:3 lead. Midway through the 3rd quarter, the visitors stretched the margin to 6 (10:4) and Tenerife couldn’t come back.
