Sabadell played perfectly in defense in beating Mataro. The finalist of the LEN Euro Cup kept the rival on three goals. Bernat Sanahuja (4 goals) and Kanstantin Averka (3) led Sabadell’s attack.
Barcelona started slowly in the game against Tenerife. The visitors from the Canary Islands didn’t let the favorite make a big difference quickly. After a 5:3 first half, Tenerife leveled at 5:5. Still, Barcelona took control soon and recorded a comfortable 14:8 victory.
The most exciting match of the day was played in Madrid. Real Canoe endged out Navarra 9:8. Early in the fourth period, Real earned a three-goal lead for the first time (9:6). Navarra started coming back, cutting the deficit (8:9) three minutes before the end. Still, the visitors didn’t go further and remained the only winless team in the league.
Mediterrani defeated Rubi and climbed to 6th place. Sant Andreu was too strong for Catalunya.
