BIWPA ACADEMY

The BIWPA Academy is recognized as the world’s first and most advanced water polo academy, with over a decade of experience in helping athletes from around the globe achieve their maximum potential.

The Academy primarily caters to student-athletes aged 14 to 18, offering the opportunity to combine high school studies with elite water polo training and competition in Barcelona. For older athletes, BIWPA also provides gap year programs and options for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree studies.

Life in Barcelona

Student-athletes can experience life in vibrant Barcelona, combining their studies with water polo for a semester or a full academic year. The program includes schooling, lodging, transportation, training, and competition, providing a complete professional athlete’s experience.

World-Class Training

The Academy offers training led by experienced and highly qualified coaches, maintaining a low coach-to-athlete ratio. Athletes also benefit from masterclasses delivered by Olympic stars such as Felipe Perrone, Anni Espar, Álvaro Granados, and Bea Ortiz.

A Unique Methodology

The training methodology focuses on developing individual technical and tactical skills, decision-making, and real-game scenarios to prepare athletes for high-level competition.

CAMPS & CLINICS

BIWPA organizes water polo camps for athletes aged 11 to 17. These camps provide a unique opportunity to improve fundamentals, learn new skills, connect with players from around the world, and enjoy an unforgettable experience. Weekly camps are held at Barcelona’s premier facilities during Easter and summer, as well as in Florida during the summer.
