Brescia emerged victorious in a hotly contested derby against Ortigia, with a final score of 12:8.
Meanwhile, Bogliasco suffered a defeat in a high-scoring match against Savona, with a final score of 15:19.
The match between Catania and Trieste was also a nail-biter, with Trieste ultimately emerging victorious with a score of 11:12.
However, some teams had an easier time than others. Pro Recco, Telimar, Posillipo, and Quinto emerged victorious with relatively comfortable margins against their opponents: De Akker, Anzio, Roma, and Salerno.

Brescia emerged victorious in a thrilling water polo match against Ortigia with a final score of 12:8. The match started with Ortigia taking an early lead of 0:1, but Brescia’s Djordje Lazic was quick to equalize, bringing the score to 1:1 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Brescia took control of the match and managed to score four goals while only allowing one from Ortigia, ending the first half with a score of 5:2 in their favor. The third quarter saw a high-scoring exchange with a total of nine goals scored between both teams. Ortigia managed to reduce the difference and trailed 9:7 going into the final quarter. However, Brescia started the last quarter strong and quickly scored two goals, extending their lead to 11:7. Despite Ortigia’s efforts to catch up, Brescia managed to hold on to their lead and secured the win with a final score of 12:8.
Pro Recco emerged as the clear winner with a final score of 7:18. The visitors dominated the game from the start, making a difference of 10 goals by the end of the third quarter with a score of 3:13. Final result was 7:18.
Quinto dominated the match against Salerno, securing a 14:6 win in a thrilling encounter on Tuesday. The game started in a balanced fashion, with both teams tied at 2:2, but it was Quinto who took the lead at the end of the first period with Nora’s goal, making it 3:2. The second period saw both teams exchanging goals, resulting in a tie at 4:4. However, Quinto took control of the game making a series of seven unanswered goals, leaving Salerno trailing at 12:4. Salerno tried to mount a comeback in the final period but Quinto’s defense proved too strong for them. The final result was 14:6.
Posillipo with a goal from Milos Milicic took the lead with a score of 3:2 in finish first quarter. However, Anzio was able to make a comeback during the first halftime, taking the lead with a score of 4:5. During the second half of the game, the visitors were able to increase their lead to 4:6. However, Posillipo made an impressive series of seven goals in a row, bringing the score to 11:6 in their favor. Anzio was only able to score one more goal before the end of the game, resulting in a final score of 11:7 in favor of Posillipo.
The match started with Trieste taking an early lead, scoring six goals in a row to make it 0:6. However, Catania quickly retaliated and managed to score five goals in a row, bringing the score to 5:6 in Trieste’s favor. The two teams battled it out, with Trieste managing to hold onto their lead until the eight-minute mark when Catania finally managed to tie the game. As the match progressed, both teams fought hard to gain an advantage. However, the visitors managed to pull ahead, scoring three goals in a row and taking the lead. Catania made a valiant effort to level the score, but in the end, it was Trieste who emerged as the victors with a final score of 11:12.
Telimar and Roma faced off in a highly competitive game. Telimar started strong, taking the lead after the first quarter with a score of 3:2. However, in the second period, Roma fought back and managed to take the lead with a score of 3:4. This seemed to be a turning point in the game, but as Telimar responded with a series of nine goals, bringing the score to 12:4. Despite this significant lead, Roma continued to put up a fight and managed to reduce the difference to 15:8 by the end of the game.
In the match between Bogliasco and Savona, a total of 39 goals were scored, making it a high-scoring game. The match was intense from the beginning, with Savona taking an early lead of 2-4 in the first period. They managed to hold on to their lead until the end of the first half, with a score of 6-8 in their favor. However, in the third period, the white caps of Bogliasco managed to reduce the score’s difference, bringing it to 11-12 in favor of Savona. The start of the last period saw a turnaround in the game, as Bogliasco took the lead with a score of 13-12. But despite their efforts, Savona managed to make a series of goals, scoring 7 times and allowing only 2 more goals for Bogliasco, leading to a final score of 15-19 in favor of Savona.
