Pro Recco and Mladost shared the points in the big match of Day 3 in Group B of the Champions League – 11:11. Both teams had chances to take all three points, but match, which saw two goals in the last three seconds, ended with no winner.
LEN Euro Cup winner Marseille defeated Hannover 8:7. Ferencvaros beat Terrassa 17:11, while another Budapest-based team in this group OSC collected points in Tbilisi, by defeating Dinamo (14:8).

The derby, featuring Mladost and Pro Recco, brought a big battle from the first whistle until the last buzzer.
After the 16th minute, Mladost had a slim lead (6:5). The home side doubled an advantage early in the third quarter (7:5). For the first time, the difference between the teams was more than a single goal. Then Pro Recco hit back with three goals in a row and went 8:7 up before the final quarter.
Vrlic and Cuk put Mladost in front again, after three minutes of play in the fourth period (9:8). Pro Recco responded with two goals, and the visitors went in front 10:9 with three minutes to go. Milos Cuk converted an extra and brought the hosts on equal – 10:10. Just 26 seconds from the end, Mladost goalkeeper Marcelic blocked a shot from Mandic and it seemed that Mladost had secured at least a point. But, in the next possession, the Croats lost the ball seven seconds from the end. Immediately after that, Recco forced a penalty shot. Dusan Mandic took responsibility and sent the ball into the net from a penalty shot with just 3 seconds remaining on the clock – 11:10. But, a big thriller wasn’t over yet.
Milos Cuk’s shot from the middle of the field was blocked, but he was fouled and Figlioli was excluded. Cosmin Radu managed to catch the ball and sent it into the net. In this action, Recco’s Echenique made a mistake. He thought that he was excluded and didn’t try to block Radu;s shot.
Mladost managed to halt Recco’s run of 24 consecutive wins in the Champions League Group Stage. The last team that has defeated Pro Recco was Szolnok on Day 4 of the season 2017/18.

Ferencvaros killed all excitements very quickly, as it jumped to a 4:0 lead in the 5th minute and maintained the distance until halftime. The hosts controlled the game in the second half too and their win was never in danger, despite they didn’t play excellently in defence.

Dinamo, boosted by the supporters, opened its first home game in the Champions League, with an unexpected 3:0 lead. The hosts scored their fourth goal early in the second quarter (4:2). After that, OSC kept Dinamo scoreless for 20 minutes and produced an 8:0 rush to build an unattainable 12:4 advantage by the 26th minute.

The hosts had a 3-goals lead on two occasions (5:2 at halftime and 7:4 before the last period), but they didn’t secure a win until the very end. Hannover cut the deficit less than three minutes before the end (6:7). Camarasa replied for Marseille’s new 2-goal advantage (8:6) with 90 seconds to go. Hannover didn’t give up, but Nagaev’s goal for 8:7 came too late – 18 seconds from the end.
