Several days ago, we reported that Aleksa Ukropina (25), the left-handed goal-getter of the Montenegrin national team, was one of several players who left Radnicki.
It has been confirmed that he would continue his career in Greece. Panionios announced that it had signed a contract with Ukropina. He is Panionios’ third confirmed reinforcement after Greek goalkeeper Konstantinos Galanidis (who arrived from Palaio Faliro) and Ukropina’s fellow countryman Nikola Moskov (who returned to the club from Steaua). Konstantinos Mourikis’ arrival from Olympiacos is expected to be confirmed after the Final Eight. There is no doubt, Panionios will have a respectable team in the next season.
Ukropina started playing in Jadran Herceg Novi and won a number of national trophies with the Herceg Novi-based team. Between 2018 and 2020, he was a member of OSC Budapest and, in 2020, joined Radnicki. He clinched three trophies playing for Radnicki (the Regional League, the Serbian Championships and the Serbian Cup).
Since 2014, he has played for Montenegro's youth, junior, and senior national teams and won gold in the 2021 World League. Ukropina represented Montenegro at the Tokyo Olympics.
