Three experienced aces will leave Pro Recco after the end of the season.
It was rumored that goalkeeper Marco Del Lungo would not extend his contract with Pro Recco after four years at the club.
Pro Recco confirmed that Luongo leaves. But apart from him,two other players will no longer wear Recco's cap .
The 11-time European champion announced that Aaron Younger and Ben Hallock would depart from Recco, too. The Australian universal player and the center of Team USA will leave European water polo and return to their homelands due to personal and professional reasons.
As for the 34-year-old Del Lungo, some sources say that Savona is interested in bringing the experienced goalkeeper.
Hallock and Younger arrived at Recco in 2020 and contributed to winning three Champions League titles (2021, 2022, 2023). Arrival at Recco was Hallock's first experience in European water polo, while Younger played for Szeged, Jug, Szolnok, and Ferencvaros before signing a contract with Pro Recco. Del Lungo joined them in 2021 from Brescia to replace Marko Bijac.
