One of the best strikers in Europe is on her way to Ethnikos.
Eirini Ninou, the most consistent and prolific goal-scorers in the Greek League over the past two campaigns will join Ethnikos from Glyfada, the Blue-Whites have tonight confirmed.
The 20-year-old is a huge signing for the blue side of Piraeus, with Ninou adding another dimension to the Ethnikos threat. The Greek international, who last season won silver at the European Championships in Split, shows intent from Leandros Stefanos' team that they can achieve a strong showing in European competition.
Ninou marks Ethnikos' first acquisition of the summer transfer window, although the club has successfully secured contract renewals for three players: Alkistis and Ioli Benekou, along with captain Eleni Sotireli. Speculation has been circulating regarding the potential return of at least one of the Haralabidis sisters, Stefania and/or Ioanna, to Ethnikos. However, considering the upcoming Paris Olympics, it is unlikely, particularly for Stefania, to participate in European competition during the 2023-2024 season.
