Yesterday, Olympiacos re-signed one of their former players - Sofia Tornarou from Ethnikos. Today, they've done the same again, confirming that Eirini Ninou will play for the club in the 2024-25 season.
The 21-year-old goal machine rose through the ranks at Olympiacos as a junior, before playing for the first team in 2016-17 season. At all three of her subsequent clubs - NC Vouliagmeni, ANO Glyfada and Ethnikos - she has proven to be a world class goal scorer.
In recent years, Irini Ninou has been a key member of our National Women's team, with a great contribution to the silver medal in the European Championship in Split, in 2022 and the bronze in Eindhoven, in 2024. She has also competed in four World Championships, the 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024, while it will be present at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In the World Championship in Doha, in 2024, Irini Ninou was the second scorer, with 24 goals.
Aside from Tornarou and Ninou, the Greek champions have also signed French goalkeeper Mia Rycraw from Lille, and Abby Andrews from Vikings in Australia.
