A piece of unofficial information published by Serbian daily Vecernje Novosti about  Filip Filipovic’s possible arrival at Novi Beograd has been confirmed.
After the Final Eight, Filipovic said he had decided to extend his professional career for another year and would move to Novi Beograd.
At the beginning of the season, Filipovic told Greek media that he would end his career this summer.
But, he changed his mind. In an interview with Greek Gazzetta, he revealed that his biggest wish had been to finish his career with an amazing group of the guys on the team of Olympiacos, but 5th place in the Champions League wasn’t how he wanted the end his career, and confirmed that he would join Novi Beograd..
The double Olympic champion and winner of more than 30 medals with the national team of Serbia (and Serbia and Montenegro earlier) played for Partizan, Pro Recco, Radnicki and Szolnok before arriving at Olympiacos in 2021.
He won the Champions League three times with Pro Recco and one LEN Euro Cup with Radnicki.
