Olympiacos has quickly appointed a new head coach following the departure of Hrvoje Koljanin, who left the club after nearly two years in Piraeus.
The club announced that Georgios Doskas had been appointed as the new head coach of the men's water polo team, a position he will hold until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Doskas, 41, previously coached Chios (2018-2022) and Partras (2023/24).
He played for Olympiacos on two occasions, from 2003 to 2011 and again from 2012 to 2017, winning 12 Greek championships and 11 national cups.
In addition to his club success, Ntoskas earned two bronze medals while competing for the Greek national team, achieving this feat at the 2005 World Championships and the 2006 World League.
After the appointment, Doskas said that he was happy to return to his home.
"Our goal is to win the Greek League and to try to qualify for the Final Four, regardless of the fact that it doesn't depend entirely on us anymore", Doskas underlined.
