Jose Javier Bustos Sanchez, one of the newly crowned world champions, has joined the best Spanish club, Barceloneta.
The 31-year-old arrives from Sabadell. Previously, he played for Real Canoe, Barceloneta, and Sant Andreu, participating in over 100 matches in European competitions.
This year, he earned gold medals at both the World Cup and the World Championships in Singapore with Spain . Jose will be teaming up with his younger brother Alejandro, who, like Jose, plays as a defender.
With Jose's addition, Barceloneta now boasts eight world champions on its roster: the Bustos brothers, Unai Aguirre, Alvaro Granados, Biel Gomila, Alberto Munarriz, Bernat Sanahuja, and Roger Tahull. Additionally, the team includes two silver medalists from Singapore, Vince Vigvari and Gergely Burian.
