One of the best British female players of her generation, Lily Turner, is reported to have agreed terms with Ethnikos Piraeus.
The 22-year-old joins Stefano Leandros' ranks after an incredibly impressive four years with the Cal Bears in the USA. This past season, the talented utility was the Bear's best scorer, which saw her inclusion to the prestigious Cutino watchlist, and ACWPC All-American first-team selection.
This transfer announcement coincides with the recent accomplishment of the Great Britain women's team qualifying for the European Championships, an achievement in which Turner played an integral role.
In addition to Turner's move, several other British players have garnered attention from European clubs throughout the season. Toula Falvey, formerly of the University of the Pacific, has joined Sant Feliu in Spain. Kathy Rogers and Annie Clapperton, both who played for Larissa last season, have left Greece and are exploring options in other top European leagues.
