Ekipe Orizzonte has confirmed the signing of Russian International Maria Borisova.
The 25-year-old joins the Italian champions from Ethnikos Piraeus, where she spent the previous season (2021-2022) in Italy with Plebiscito Padova, Orizzonte's title rivals.
Borisova, a powerful central defender, is an Olympic Bronze medalist from Rio 2016 and won a Silver medal at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest with the Russian National Team. Known as 'Masha,' she is the second summer signing for Ekipe Orizzonte, following the addition of Chiara Tabani from last season's runners-up, SIS Roma.
