Sabadell has brought its sixth reinforcement for the new season.
Attacker Oscar Asensio (22) returned to the club.
Asensio initially learned to play water polo at UE Horta Academy. Throughout his senior career, he has played for four teams -Sant Andreu (2018-2019), Sabadell (2019-2021), Barceloneta (2021-2022), and Barcelona (2022-2023).
Asensio has debuted for the Spanish senior national team.
He was among the candidates to be included on the roster for the upcoming World Cup Final after playing in Division 1 of the World Cup in Podgorica in March.
Asensio is the second player who arrived at Sabadell from Barcelona in the 2023 transfer window after the leftie of the Spanish national team Blai Mallarach.
As we already reported, Sabadell signed Mallarach, Alberto Barroso (Salerno), Montenegrin Stefan Vidovic (Ortigia), American Jake Ehrhardt (University of Southern California), and German Fynn Schutze (Waspo Hannover).
Several players left the club: Sergi Cabanas (Jug Dubrovnik), Bernat Sanahuja (Barceloneta), Lluc Bertran (Barcelona), Ramiro Veich (Barcelona), Dusan Banicevic (Spandau), Gerard Gil and Oscar Blasco.
