Apollo Smyrnis has announced Petar Radanovic as their new head coach.
Petar Radanovic, a 46-year-old coach from Montenegro, has accepted the offer to coach the blue and whites for the 2024-2025 season. He joins from Jadran Herceg Novi and replaces Nikos Deligiannis.
Radanovic started his career working in the academies of Jadran Herceg Novi from 2008 to 2012. From 2012 to 2018, he served as an assistant coach for the senior men's team, working alongside current Montenegro Federation coach Vladimir Goikovic. In the summer of 2019, he became the head coach, a position he held until now, departing to Greece.
During his five years as head coach, Radanovic led Jadran to win four National Championships (2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23) and four Cups (2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2023-24) in Montenegro. He also guided the team to competitive appearances in the Champions League for three years, as well as a season in the Euro Cup.
Additionally, Radanovic worked as a coach for the Montenegro Age National Teams. He achieved significant success, including winning the European Under-17 Championships in Malta in 2017 (alongside Miodrag Mirovic), placing 5th in the 2019 European Under-18 in Georgia, and securing 5th place in the World Under-20 in Romania in 2023.
