Oradea, the runner-up in the 2023 Romanian championships, has signed 26-year-old Serbian goalkeeper Radoslav Filipovic, who previously played for Novi Beograd.
Despite being the second-choice goalkeeper for most of last season, Filipovic had some very good performances, prompting the national team's head coach Uros Stevanovic to select him for this summer's competitions. He saved a crucial penalty in a shootout during the Champions League semifinals against Barceloneta.
Filipovic began his career at Vojvodina, later moving to Sabac before joining Novi Beograd last summer. He won the bronze medal at the 2017 World U20 Championships with Serbia. Last season, he clinched the title of the Serbian League and silver in the Champions League.
As we previously reported, Novi Beograd will be replacing both their goalkeepers this summer. Joao Pedro Coimbra is expected to join Partizan. Only a signing is missing
Filipovic will replace Romania's Marius Tic in front of Oradea's goal, with Petar Velkic being the other Serbian player signed by the team this summer.
