In the past two seasons, OSC Budapest had only Hungarian players on its roster. After several departures of the Hungarian aces, which have been confirmed (Angyal and Manhercz) and have yet to be confirmed (Levai, Burian, Dala, Csacovszky), OSC re-opens its door to foreigners.
Italian Simone Rossi left Ortigia and joined OSC Budapest, the Sicilian-based club announced yesterday evening.
Rossi is strongly connected with Hungary, because his father, Marco is the head coach of the Hungarian national football team.
The 30-year-old defender played for Ortigia between 2019 and 2023. Before that, he was a member of the Naples-based clubs Possilipo and Aquachiara. He played for Brescia in the junior age.
